Great learning experience working with Foster Wheeler. Transfer og knowledge.

I worked at satelite office not in main office, but had good working facility.

Overall a good company to work for.

It was good to work in Foster Wheeler Asia Pacific Ltd, Singapore for the past 6 months from Jul 12 to Jan 13.

I was working in one of the ExxonMobil Project (later part of Project). in Singapore. We use to have meeting with ExxonMobil Team and the Vendor quite oftern to solve many issues soon.

I had good support from co-workers during my working – more... period.

When I joined Foster Wheeler, the Project was almost 60% completed and I had a tough time to complete many activites (like review of Vendor documents, preparation of Material Requisitions, TQ's, Technical Bid Evaluation / Reports / Ordering / Sub-Contract Requisition / submission of all required Deliverables in time etc). Finally, I was able to complete to the satisfaction of ExxonMobil & Foster Wheeler Project Team.

Due to non-availability of new Projects. Foster Wheeler Management decided retrench many Engineers and I was one of them.

My last working day with Foster Wheeler, Singapore was on 28 Jan 13. – less

Work hours from 7-5. No overtime because I was not a permanent employee. Had problems getting straight answers from management sometimes. Overall pretty good company to work for.

Joined company during re-commissioning of co-gen. Company held extensive training in safety, operations and maintenance. Management was experienced and well versed to meet the challenges of re-commissioning. Co-workers were worked hard to ensure the project was completed on time. The hardest part of the job was cleaning bed material from combustor furnace – more... following improper operation and shut downs. Most enjoyable part of job was latching the generators to the grid for the first time after units had been down for ten years. – less

Project Management shows little understanding of process, makes impossible commitments, cuts hours estimates by 50% or more.

Process Department provides impossible data.

Management thinks can solve complex and time consuming problems by throwing people at it.

Good co-workers& management. Good skilled workers, experienced foremans & supervisors. Determined to do the job right but safe.

The hours were long sometimes working up to 60+ hours per week. We had weekly safety meetings and was monitored continually to ensure quality work performed while following safety rules.

The atmosphere was positive with an expectation of top quality performance. This was a very positive experience, because I enjoy doing things right the first time!

Some investigation need to done with the whole company, Terrible place to work for, the turn over there is horrible
Thpical day at Foster Wheeler, there is none, you learned how to apply for other jobs and try to leave Foster Wheeler.
Most of the Co-workers are good
The hardest part is working with HR, and working with the Director ove all the Admin, – more... not a supervisor to have.
Enjoyable part was when I got layed off, the working place was horrible. – less

I worked my way up from boiler maker to foreman to safety. this was one of the best companies i have ever worked for.

learned to weld pipe for a very good employer. Weld lab was the best I have been in

Supervised all aspects of Construction Site quality planning, welder qualification testing, inspection and record collection. Prepared and implemented all types of Non-destructive Examination Procedures, for UT, PT, MT, RT, – more... ET, LT for Commercial and Nuclear Products. Attained certifications in various levels of NDE in according to ASNT-TC-1A. Company Level III for visual inspection. – less
