Midwife (Current Employee) – St Marys Hospital – 8 September 2017
Average place to work due to understaffed and management culture. Did not feel free or able to give opinion honestly. Often work long shifts without breaks, which you don't get paid for. Management can be unapproachable.
Unsocial hours often without breaks which are unpaid.

Clinical Support Worker (Current Employee) – Manchester – 10 November 2016
I love my job. I love working within the care industry but it's a very good hospital with good doctors and brilliant nurses who dedicate our lives to the patients and making sure they get back to their healthy selves
Occupational Therapist (Current Employee) – Manchester Central – 4 September 2016
I don't really have much to compare with. Although it is a modern fresh hospital in the city centre of that's your thing. Diverse population and challenging cases. A trust that is always keen to up it's game.
Biomedical Support Worker (Former Employee) – Manchester – 16 March 2014
For the past five years I had worked in a Biochemistry diagnosis laboratory, were I have developed skills in the reception, sorting, preparation and analyse of clinical samples. Patient confidentiality is very important within the department, as well as how this information and specimens are stored and disposal. In the department we used many chemicals/reagents and hence I am aware also of COSH regulations. I believe that these skills can be very useful in a pathology department and I feel confident that my enthusiasm and willingness together with my extensive work experience, both within the NHS and in a diagnostic/clinical environment, will enable me to undertake any duties and responsibilities outlined and to provide substantial and efficient support and service. In my last job I developed various fundamental skills. Particularly in the employment of processing and handling of biological specimens and procedures as per existing protocols..Other technical duties that I performed include the maintenance, calibration and recording of pipettes, which required accuracy and precision, the daily maintenance of gas blood analyses, centrifuges, freezes. As well as the preparation of plates, reagents, QC's. In addition I maintained stock control by efficiently logging and rotating stock, coordinating the stock control of consumables and ensuring the appropriate levels for clinical areas. Moreover I also performed many clerical duties and administrative tasks in support of the department, which include the use of IT programs/systems for making amendments and comments to spreadsheets,more... the preparation of SOPs and other documents, as well as using the own department database systems to input and store samples, personal patient data and stock control.less
