Atos health care was a great place to work, checking claiments fitness to work and administration was a great experience. I didn't like working from home. Atos supply a laptop and mobile phone but if you have a homehub at home you are expected to use that. 10 cases a day is expected with 40mins per case to talk to the person and write the report. If not working from home you travel to client's sites. They provide training in Atos methods and I had to travel to Birmingham – more... to do this. You are expected to use a specific travel company which were the most expensive and I had 3 courses in one month which totaled £500 with this company so I used an alternative and wasn't re-embursed. Management micro manage. Co-workers were great but you only get to see them once a month. I found Atos values and my values were incompatible so left towards the end of the 6 months probation. – less

My current duties include:
Call Taking - Receive and efficiently record customer details and incident descriptions.

Problem Solving - Owning the problem and attempting to resolve within first line if possible (working with a target of 70% first call fix), handle Lotus Notes faults, MSOffice Package issues, Desktop PC/Laptops related problems, and Network – more... problems. I also take part in allocating incidents to appropriate resolving teams, following set procedures.

Request Handling - Undertaking and completing such requests as, creating user accounts, adding users to active directory groups and Installing/distributing software via software delivery consoles and remote control packages. All request work must be completed within the contractual timescales (Service Level Agreement) set by The Customer.

Service Delivery - Act as focal point for customer problems and queries. Monitor customer satisfaction survey ratings. Understand Problem, Request and Change Management processes and to deliver all tasks within the agreed service level agreement’s.

Within work I have also been given the added responsibilities of being the Service Desk’s Customer account SME (Subject Matter Expert), and Blackberry issues specialist.

I’m am also currently tasked within keeping the Helpdesk machines up to date with current software packages/updates, Security packages and checking there is a contingency plan available in case of loss of Network in the office. – less

I worked 3 months moving details from Siemens SIS to Atos as the company was sold and needed updating to a new system.

I worked alone, but had a great team of people around me. The hardest part was it being away from home.

It's a big company with many opportunities to evolve even go abroad.
If you work in a big agency, you have plenty of interesting projects using advanced technologies to work for. Unfortunately, if it is not the case, the choice of projects is limited and most of the time you can't choose the project you want to be part of.
The company does a lot of – more... outsourcing, if you want to be a software developer, it is becoming more and more difficult because the development realized in the agencies is outsourced to others countries. – less

ATOS is one of the most good multinational IT services and consulting corporation i worked, amazing people, good projects for work in recognize companys.

This company is not that good. It may seem like a good company at first but the people are not friendly. It's very quiet and it has a feel of snobby stuck up I'm better then everybody type of environment. And the management is not even there. When you get there you will be on your own to do everything. There's no (feeling the ropes). If you have a question – more... it's up to you to figure it out. But most of all you will not know if you have a job the next day! It's not a warming feeling its a stressful feeling and everybody cares about themselves. If its not them then good. But the pay is great and benefits are good too. So that's why I tried to way it out. – less

I obtained the use of songs for a teaching CD, which involved dealing with music publishing houses. I learned a lot about how the music business works.

I also do remote secretarial work for the President/CEO, including scheduling, travel and other assigned tasks as they occur.

I love my boss - he's a peach to work for and is very concise when he delegates – more... duties so that I don't have to ask lots of questions to get the job done.

The hardest part of the job is getting the big publishers like Sony, etc. to respond in a timely way. I developed an EXCEL tracking spreadsheet with contact notes and dates in order to provide timely reports to my boss. – less

BOth manager and mangement system are out of date. The time table is hard to use.
