Driver (Current Employee) – Preston, Lancashire – 20 September 2017
They make themselves appear terrific to work for and really above board, but immediately as I started for them broke their own rules. Badly managed. Badly planned jobs. Poor wage. Many hours. Bled by management. Will be leaving soon.
Management out for themselves no respect for employees well being
Hire Controller (Former Employee) – Na Hearadh agus Ceann a Deas nan Loch – 21 February 2018
All managers ad Directors look after themselves and their big yearly bonuses. No Bonuses for anyone else anymore.
Hours are long and salaries are poor. Most rental desks are nasty and back stabbing. Trust no one! Not a happy place to work, bullying and harassment and discrimination is rife and HR would have a field day if they knew half of what went on.
Promotions are promised and never delivered as are pay rises. The annual pay increase of upto 3% is subject to you licking the managers backside . If you are a brown noser you will go far other wise AVOID
TMO (Current Employee) – London, Greater London – 26 October 2017
Managers are not managers!.They Havnt a clue how to manage people.I would advise to stay well clear of this company as an employee or customer.TM side,LUX in my experience are cowboys who promise you the world but never deliver.Your safety is not a priority. They cut corners to maximise profit at every opportunity.Cowboys!!
Hire Controller (Former Employee) – Manchester, Greater Manchester – 17 October 2017
Agree with every review on here, long hours, no appreciation, break health and safety laws, company policies and UK laws. Managers are inexperienced receiving massive bonuses for the low paid workers working!! Dysfunctional and disgraceful company to work for. Never have I worked for anyone like this. Sales get together are just massive 'gang bangs', directors care about profit profit and profit no matter the consequences. Money grabbing careless company!!!! Rubbish wage, no support, allow harassment and law breaking activities turning blind eyes if it suits them....
Service Centre Manager (Former Employee) – Scotland – 31 August 2017
As a former manager, my time at A-Plant (2nd time round) was thrust upon me. Trying to get anything done (other than push turnover!) Was laughable, we had a building & yard which was sub standard, and the directors and senior management were bullying and intimidating particularly when you were not quite performing as they'd like financially! Many people looking to progress and quite happy to 'stick the knife in' to do so. Work / life balance is non existent with the hours being ridiculous at times to meet demand, often without praise or thanks. It wasn't all bad, early days were good. The changes in directors killed my motivation to be there, coupled with the daft hours.
Great Salary, Outstanding bonus earning potential
Work life balance / senior management / harassing environment / health & safety breaches
Sales Executive (Former Employee) – Scotland – 19 July 2017
Depot Managers are inexperienced and bully as opposed to guide, assist and nurture. Sales managers don't usually stay around for long and bring people down publicly (conf calls) and slag people off. A few guys went to HR but it was laughed off Had 4 bosses in 4 years. Day one was handed my car keys and mobile and left to it. If your face fits and kiss enough bum then you'll be fine. If you have an opinion then you won't enjoy it. Sales meetings are good, everyone gets plastered but half the the senior staff are "at it" with each other. Bonuses are at discretion and go to the favourites.
Managers are idiots so you can run rings round them
Electrician (Former Employee) – West midlands – 6 July 2017
Terrible place to work get forced to doing jobs not part of ypur contract. Managers dont listen in 1 ear out the other Make you work like a idiot while office staff gain all bonuses Very stressful tiring job I would reccommend people to work for competitors unless your desperate for money and would like to be treated badly. No exsistance on health and safety managers will always be nice to you when they want you to take dangerous shortcuts and always blame you if they are found out!
In the short term i was there i seen some very good staff come and go due to the above reasons.
And when its time to leave they do not care or bother keeping you.
Traffic management (Former Employee) – Barking, Greater London – 1 July 2017
What a terrible company to work for, the management don't have any respect for the workers, most of the vehicles are not road worthy but they make you drive them still cos they need the job done and there is no organisation and health and safety is non existent plus money is poor for what you do.
Fitter (Former Employee) – Stockton-on-Tees, Durham – 30 June 2017
The management of this company is absolutley shocking, manipulative and bully tactics! the pay is poor for anybody with real skills hence why people are took on with no experience to fulfil skilled roles. Management and office staff reap all benefits while workshop are ignored and ran into the ground. all staff are down and depressed with the place, alot of stress and staff with little knowledge of their role ( because they are cheap).
HGV Driver class 2 (Current Employee) – Cardiff – 20 June 2017
My day can start as early as 4.30 am. And end as late at 7 pm. Logistics may not allow me to not work overtime some days. The best part of the job is delivering on time and delivering excellent consistent customer service. The worst part is working overtime I do not get paid for. There can be little or no organisation behind the company and I often plan my day myself.
Tmo (Former Employee) – Wrexham, Wrexham – 20 May 2017
Traffic management operative at this company. Terrible money for dodging Cars for a living. Management is absolutely shocking. Expected to break laws to get jobs done. Report problems and they never get delt with. Stessfull work environment. Lack of equipment signs lights etc. The list goes on.
